99 bounder 28t emergency start blows fuse

Having problem with aux start switch, inop just blows 7.5 amp fuse in front electrical center, also sometimes battery disconnect solonoid will just buzz when trying to start engine,or nothing at all with the ign key in run or start just stays completely dead, this usually happens if I use the batt disconnect switches inside rv,after toggling on and off it will work normally for awhile anyone had this problem?

Before you do anything else... clean the ground on your house batteries... Not at the batteries but where they attach to the frame... and DON'T just look at it.. take it off and clean it with a wire brush. This alone could cure most of your problems. Aux. Start solenoids go bad but can be easily checked. A sure symptom that it's bad is house batteries won't charge while driving... yes it's the same solenoid. Battery Disconnect Solenoids do go bad.. the contacts get pitted but the switch above the door can also go bad and are a heck of a lot cheaper to replace. You can get them on ebay... they are a miniature toggle 3 Position Double Pole Momentary Rocker Switch ON:OFF:ON.. about $5 each (MAKE SURE you disconnect the HOUSE and CHASSIS battery GROUND cables BEFORE replacing the switches or ANYTHING in the Battery Control Center). There are ALWAYS HOT WIRES in the Control Center and at the Switches.
If you need wiring diagrams, go the the yahoo users group "Bounder"
bounder : Bounder Owners
In the files section is Battery Control Center and it will give you test procedures too.

Hey Rhouser,

I agree with Rick.
I would start at the solenoid since you are blowing fuses.
Bad contacts usually don't cause fuses to blow.
Always check or clean your ground wire contacts and check batteries for dead cells while you are at it.
If that doesn't work for you then wiring diagrams, like Rick said, are your new friend.
