Yes, the fan does run, I seem to have a restriction in the expansion valve or the evaporator is clogged.

OK... Here Goes

Let me make a suggestion - don't title your thread "A lot to digest so here goes". You've got a specific question to ask about a specific issue but you give the thread a general title that means nothing and could never accidentally attract informative answers to your question.

A title like: 1997 Fleetwood Discovery 36R A/C Problem would be so much better targeted. Or even: A/C Help Needed - '97 Fleetwood DP. Something, anything but "Here goes."

I did as you suggested and got back great drawings and troubleshooting guide, also House Husband sent a great link showing how to disassemble the dash and get to the evaporator and expansion valve with part #s. I think I`m all set on getting my dash air going now, I will keep you all posted on my progress. I probably won`t start this winter but should get going in late March. Thanks to all

Dash air on our rig will put a frostline across our foreheads. I almost fell out of my drivers seat when she first asked if she could turn it off!

SORRY, I'm no A/C guy but others here I am sure can help you.

When you first enter this group, a new Member may feel a bit overwhelmed by all the forums you can find here. First, you need to set up your USER CP

Once you open and start a menu will open on the left side just take it all in the step-by-step top to bottom.
NEXT, you will find this forum is made up of 14-Forums broken into four-part forums.

First is the HOME, top left above the member's menu. This forum is very helpful to new members to learn and become more familiar with overtime.

NEXT TO HOME is FORUMS on the top left covering Community, RV Lifestyles, Regional and RV Camping. and to the right of this is RV Forums.

RV FORUMS on the top left covers a lot about TRUCKS, Conversations, MVT's, HDT's, Travel Trailers/5th Wheel Chassis & TECH stuff, Chassis CLUB, RV SYSTEMS, Powertrain Garage.

Then you have the OWNERS FORUMS Covering Registry, A-M, and N-Z.

Now if you pan down to the bottom of the page you will find other FORUMS and if you know or have a Class B, you can direct or join the CLASS B FORUMS at Class B Forums And if you get down to Florida this link may be very HELPFUL http://www.CampFlorida.com

So, welcome you again, I hope you join in the fun and share your knowledge by helping new members find their way in this forum as you would in, any RV Park. Again, make sure to set up your USER CP as this is helpful to you and other members. Again if you enjoy or think of starting your own RV Blog you can do that here as well above on menu bar is BLOGS

Enjoy and safe TRAVELS. You can also find RV PARKS above in CAMPGROUNDS. Wal-Mart Parking locator & Bed & Briefest
http://www.allstays.com/c/wal-mart-locations.htm

Welcome to our FORUM, may you be blessed with Happy Travels and safe Trails on all your Road Trips.

Is your condenser fan running when the air conditioner is supposed to be producing cool air? That fan which is right in front of the front axle and should be running when ever the compressor is energized. Its easy to replace.

I also had one refrigerant line replaced.

I have a lot of pictures of the things I repaired and/or upgraded if you have any questions.
Here is an update, I was wrong, my condenser fan was not operating. I changed my dryer, pulled a vacuum for 2 hrs. re-charged system and had to high of pressure in my liquid line because fan was not working, got fan working and I now have A/C
