I am still trying to figure out on how to remove the "dog house" engine cover in side the coach. I under stand that Fleetwood says the cover is screw and glued down . Anyone had any experience with this? the coach is a 2005 southwind 32v. I would think all the same coaches from 2002 till the new 12s use the same way to put them in? I am wanting to change the serpentine belt and it looks like I need to get in from the top as well from the bottom. thanks for any help !! Mabry

Hi Mabry,

I'll take a stab at this by saying you don't need to take the dog house off.
The one belt is reached from under and in front of engine and the spring tensioner pulley will release the belt tension when used with a correct socket and long socket handle.
Make sure you replace the belt the same way you took it off.

The doghouse cover is two pieces. the top is easy to open. the lower has a lip that is glued and screwed down. To remove it, just pull the carpet back and remove the screws. Next take a knife and cut the sealant between the lip and the floor and firewall.
