Adding a second ladder

Has anyone ever added a second ladder on the left side of their motorhome? I carry a bicycle on my 02 Discovery and want to carry a kayak too. I'm trying to keep from carrying anything on the roof of my Jeep.

Interesting. I once saw a coach in Corpus Christi, TX that the owner had added kayak mounts on the roof. He drilled down through the roof, the mounted the kayak mounting brackets by bolting through the roof and adding large flat washers inside. It actually looked pretty good. Just a thought.

I don't know for sure. But, I think the wall possibly has provision such as wood blocking for anchoring the latter bracket bolts.
