We have looked and can not find another Coach that we like as well as are 2003 American Dream so we have desided to have another slide install on the curb side. We have a slide on the road side and also a bedroom slide but would like to have more room in the living room as we will be full time in 3 to 4 months. Has any one had a slide put in there coach? Morrison in Sanger California does the best work I have seen, looks as good as factory slides.

Does that side of your coach have the weight capacity to accommodate an additional slide? If in doubt get it weighed.Slides are heavy.

I would question if the frame has the structural strenght after installation to withstand the loads (compression/torsion) that will be placed on it not only parked w/slide extended but moving also.

I live about 20 miles from Morrison's R.V. and have had several items worked on by them. They've done me well and I recommend using them.

Just MHO, but I'd look for another coach before trying to add slides to a rig. There are a great many rigs on the market from which to chose.

Well we just found out that the 12ft Slide will only add approximate 400LBS. That is alot less then I was expecting. So we will continue with the plan to add the slide. We are also doing Wood Floors and replaceing the carpet in the Bedroom. Won't get started on it for a few months.

Hey, Thanks for thinking outside the box. There are a lot of older rigs in great shape that are available at an attractive price because they have no slide or only one. Nice to know there is an outfit to do professional conversions.

Hey Andy,

If you've figured out the cost and have the time then go for it!!!!!
Great to know you love your coach so much that you are willing to go the extra mile to keep it!

Any idea on approx cost of this? I like the look of my coach, but it has no slide. I saw the older rigs on thier site, and like the way they did the conversion.

the cost for the 12ft slide is around $22,000.00. Not cheap but still cheaper then a new coach of same caliper.

$22k is a bit high for me too. Does that include water, electric, awning, (if needed) etc?

Gotta include the cost of sales tax when buying a new rig. That can make modifications of your existing rig look a bit better.
