2003 Fleetwood Revolution 40c

I recently purchased a 2003 Fleetwood Revolution 40c in Sept.
Overall for the year it is in great shape. I have done a few mod's as far as led exterior lighting but that's about it.
Thought I would drop in and say hello.
I am currently a full timer in Vermont.

I updated exterior docking lights to LED lights and the turn signal and marker lights as well. I also installed LED head lights and replaced all the back up and tail lights with LED's as well.

Winter operating

As a full timer in the winter in Vermont, do you do anything special to operate in cold weather

I am skirting it and installing my cold weather camco heated hose and plumbing a external tank. Also I am using reflective insulation the windows.
I am doing this till December because my kids are visiting for Christmas. I will likely will not stay here past the beginning of January before it gets sub zero.

I would be interested how you make out as the weather gets colder.

Although my basement is heated, I would be concerned about the gray and black water tanks and connections as there is next to no insulation between the drain pan in the bottom of the compartment and the the bottoms of the tanks and the drain plumping from the tanks

Welcome Hiluxinvt,

We've had our 2003 Rev 40c around 14 months now. We are still loving our coach.

Likewise, we've done several upgrades and the normal maintenance stuff. Most recent was replacing the cracking skylight.

Current project is ripping out the old Norcold and replacing with a residential refrigerator.

The only problem I've had travelling in really cold weather (8 degrees) was the dump handles froze. Sure the basement is heated, but it couldn't handle that much cold.

I cut a piece of insulation board to fit in the drain pan with a hole for the sewer hose, I have also used an old blanket. I also put a small electric heater and set it on lowest setting, mine is 60 degrees.

One time in -23F, my dump valve froze, once I put heater in within a few hours I was able to dump.

I highly recommend keeping dump valve closed until you are ready to dump and make sure you completely drain the sewer line.

I also made my own heated water hose and it has worked flawlessly. I just returned from SD pheasant hunting trip, night time temperatures only in high 20's, but I put a 'y' on the faucet and shut off fresh water faucet at night and open one side of 'y' to allow to drain and just use water pump overnight. Good luck!

That is a nice looking Coach. There are a number of these coachs with this color scheme on here now.

I like the mirrors located on the front like that, mine is an older coach and have them mounted on the side.
