We were down in Daytona over the weekend at the Good Sam's Rally and saw a American Heritage and Eagle coach for the first time. They looked very well laid out and had a lot fo the items we want in our next coach. what is the story on these coaches? How is the roofs made , what is there quality , etc. thanks for any responses.

In my search for a used DP I have learned about the "American" brand of coaches. These are considered a "luxery coach". They were bought up by Fleetwood Industries. I believe that is the only connection to Fleetwood.
There are three levels of the American.
American Eagle
American Heritage
Ameican Tradition.

If you want to see some interior shots got to ebay motors and do a search for American. Drill down to RV's then motorized RVs then diesel RVs.
There are about 10 American coaches listed. Really nice interiors and they REALLY hold their value!!!! A 1995 American Eagle still sells for over $75K!!

The Heritage only comes in a 45 foot version and are you willing to deal with a MSRP of ~ $645K or so. We test drove one and was very impressed. I think there quality is = to most others. Owners seem to rally like them. The pecking order is

Top of the line is Heritage, then Eagle, then Tradition as I understand it.
