Hi All,Just bought 2006 Expedition.Kitchen drain question. When the drain empties it gurgles. Makes a lot of noise for a few minutes after all water is gone. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance, Jan

Check your vent stack. It may be plugged.

If you have a kitchen slide the vent is attached to a flex hose, maybe a kink?

Well, Hubby snaked out the vent pipe from the roof all the way down, took the drain apart, checked the piece in that controls the air flow. Still having problem, gurgling after water drains and now a foul smell. Will check the flexible tube to see if kinked. Thanks again. Jan

This probably is not the answer, but you never know with motor homes...is there a sink trap?

If there is a sink trap I would not expect to have a bad smell.

I would suspect a kink in the flex hose if the vent stack checks out ok. Even if there is a P trap (which I am guessing there is) under the sink, a blocked vent line will cause enough suction in the pipe when you pull the drain plug, to remove enough water in the P trap to allow the sewer gasses ie Odors through.

I heard "Joe the Plumber" is about to release his book so he won't have to raise his rates.

Joe the plumber does not have a license. Last I heard the co he is working for Illegally contracts plumbing in Ohio without a proper license.
