So, to ask a question along the same line as the genset turning itself on - our new Damon Essence has an 8.0 Onan with a self start feature (according to the paperwork) I have no idea how to turn the feature on. Anyone have guidance as how? Or is it just 'on'? I confess, there are still several pounds of paperwork that I have yet to read on this thing

When we got our '07 Revolution with Autostart, there were no papers either. First determine, by looking at the control panel what model you have. If it is an Onan unit you can obtain the appropriate manual with instructions on their web site. Until you go through the directions and figure it out, is seems complicated and confusing, but then I still have VCR's flashing on 12:00. Good luck

Look for a button on your EMS panel that has AGS (auto gen start). On mine I can toggle between on and off which is displayed on the same panel. There is also probably a panel in the electrical bay where you can establish all the parameters for time, voltage, run time, etc.

What type of Inverter do you have. More specifically what type Inverter Control Panel do you have. This feature is typically part of the programming in the Inverter Controller.

Lord! I have no idea. we've used this thing twice since buying it. The week after we did the deal, fuel prices took off like a rocket.
Like I said, there is still a bunch to read.

If all else fails, can you call your dealer's techs for an answer?
When I can't figure out something, even after reading through the papers & manuals that came with our coach, I call my dealer & talk with a service tech. 9 times out of 10, I get an answer right away. For the ones they don't know, they find out & call me back.
