Bad isolator solenoid in RV Custom Products BCC

This has been a very good learning experience as to how the RV Custom Products BCC works in my Southwind.

My Southwind stays plugged in when at home. I had a couple occurrences of the chassis battery going completely dead after just a few days. When I pressed the EMER START button, I didn't hear the CLUNK of the isolator.

None of this made sense until I started troubleshooting and reading up on the BCC.

I documented all this on my web site, but to make a long story short. The reason I didn't hear a CLUNK was because the isolator was already energized.

Replace battery isolator solenoid in the BCC – 1999 Southwind 35S

The reason the chassis battery went dead is because I probably left the radio on. Also, even though the isolator was energized, the contacts weren't making, so the coach converter wasn't charging the chassis battery.

I have the RV Custom Products CB-115 Rev B circuit board in the BCC

The mounting hole location on the new isolator is about 1/4 inch off from the original, so I had to drill new mount holes. I have a lot of photos on the web article.

Thanks! ... good info. Yup, BCCs/BIRDS/Isolators, etc. are quite the learning experience.
