OK lets try this again, being I have yet gotten any feedback on the overheating of the right side of my 454 engine due to not having a sheet of metal to channel air to cool the heads.

I have the BANKS performance exhaust system on this unit, as a aftermarket of course, will this system prevent the overheating that has been described in almost every article on the 454 engine on the p-30 chassis?

All the chevy's in this period had a heatshield on left side,(from the factory) but none on the right. Headers from banks are advertised to run cooler. If you are really worried, I would call banks and talk to them. They are by far the best in the business. call 1-888-635-4565
