Basement & Galley 120v Outlet not working

2005 Bounder 32W...

I have no 120v power to the basement outlets and the one on the galley backsplash. There is a GFCI outlet in the bathroom that works fine. I looked all over for a possible 2nd GFCI outlet but could not find another one. These are the only 3 outlets that do not work now.

It stopped working while I was running my portable air compressor plugged into the basement outlet.

I have checked all the breakers i can find. Everything else seems normal. Any ideas on where to look or what else to check?

Sorry to say this , but keep looking, my bet is that you have another GFCI somewhere. Trip the one GFCI that you have found and see if all your other plugs go down.
I have 1 in the bathroom and 1 in the kitchen, all plugins trace back to one or the other. Have you checked the microwave plug in for a possible hidden GFCI?

Yep, I would look at the microwave. Most are hard wired some not. Also look throughout the basement areas. I have replaced several GFCI over the years as they become tired and don't hold the load. Best of luck keep us posted!

How about the breakers on your Inverter, have you checked them?

Yes, yes, and yes again. Bathroom works as do all of the others and I tripped & reset the one in the bathroom to see if it had any effect. I'v been to every outlet in the house and outside. The microwave has its own dedicated outlet in the kitchen cabinet next door to the microwave..its not a GFCI. I'v been in all the basement compartments looking top, bottom, & Sides. I even checked the outside fridge compartment where its 120v outlet is.

All the breakers are on, but just to be sure I tripped/reset each one of them as well.

still lookin...

I have an 06. It has a gfi in the bath and one in the bedroom. ( opposite sides of the coach) I'll bet you have at least two. If you can't find it, call fleetwood to e-mail schematics of your rig. Good luck.

so47 has DP which of course is going to be different than your gas model. I'm pretty sure I only have one GFI in my Bounder. I'm going to call FW and I'll post what they tell me.

FW says you only have one. Do you have an inverter which possibly has a breaker that needs resetting ?

Hey Cliff... thanks so much for that call. I'v been at work and trying to do the forum from my smartphone has its challenges.

I do not have an inverter. I'm thinking there has to be a fuse or breaker somewhere for those outlets. Turns out there are 4 that are effected - the two in the basement, one in the galley just behind the sink, and another in the bedroom. One more day then we are headed down to Edisto Beach State Park for a few days. We dont really use any of them except the one in the kitchen...so I'll have to find another place to plug in the coffee pot.

Thanks again and if any of you think of anything else, I'll be here!

Turned out to be a sticky GFI outlet.

I called Fleetwood and talked to Bryan. What a great experience to know that customer service is still alive and well at Fleetwood. He pulled up the electrical drawing for my Bounder and helped me think through what was going on with it. All 4 of those outlets are on the GFI circuit with the one in the bathroom that still had power. He suggested replacing it.

I stopped at Lowes on te way home from work and bought one. But when i got home I fiddled with the GFI reset and wiggled it around a bit. Then it reset and all were working again. I'm going to replace it anyway as i dont quite trust it now.

We've had that Bounder for 8 years now and this is the first time i have called their service.

So thanks all you guys for your input and suggestions...now all i need is to get those valve stem extensions so i can check the tires without having to take off those wheel covers!

Thanks for the update. It had to be that GFI. Glad you were able to get it fixed.
