While using our shower last September, I turned on the bathroom fan over the toilet area in our 2003 Providence. It ran just fine for about 15 minutes, then just quit? Does it have a fuse that may have blown? I want to make sure it's working again when we take it out of winter storage for our spring trip!

Every 12 volt system in the coach on your motorhome is fused. I believe you should look at your circuit breaker panel to see if any of those popped out.

You can also drop a couple of screws and get inside the wiring and check the line side of the feed to the fan with a test lamp. If the ground connection isn't firm that may also be a point of failure.

If you do have a popped circuit breaker I expect that the fan may be a little aged and is drawing to many amps which causes the breaker to pop.

If you have a conventional opening, I might opt for a Fantastic Vent and go from there.

Born2RV,

Just to tag onto what DriVer said- the fuse will be one of those small flat bladed-types you see in cars and stuff now...probably a 3.5 or 5amp and will be located in the d.c. panel of your coach near or common with the a.c. panel. I accidentally blew this fuse when I replaced the small fan for a Fantastic Fan.

Born2RV;
For what it's worth, I just bought a used 08 Providence and the dealer told me that Fantastic Fan has a lifetime warranty and if one ever goes bad, do not ask a dealer to replace it, just call Fantastic customer line and tell them the model and they will send out a new insert for free.
