I have a 2002 Bounder 39R and I need a circuit diagram of the Battery Control Center with a Solar charger. I am trying to troubleshooting the Solar circuit, it never charges or inticates a charge. Thank for any help!

hlock, I can't help you with solar units, I have no knowledge of them. There are many others that can help you on this forum. Welcome to iRV2 it's a great site.

I think if the BCC is at all like mine there should be a circuit diagram on the inside cover, atleast mine does. But in any case go topside and clean the push connections real good then check the connections inside to see if you have a charge indication. Some have done this with success. I have a 2004 and swapped centers with a 2003 but still having issues with mine. The 2004 BCC had a short in the board and was toasted in one spot, I thought I was in luck when I located a 2003 BCC but the circuit board has a different #number that is not the same as mine on the 2004 but the BCC has the same number, had to be a change in boards in the 2004, so I''ll be calling fleetwood for a replacement board. Good luck with yours, there is a fuse listed in the BCC that says solar panel check that as well. I can take a picture of the 2003 diagram if that will help but inside your cover you should have the same. Good luck.

Another thing is that my solar panel lost a fight with a tree limb two years ago and I haven't missed it. I am plugged in during storage so it's useless to me.

Who made your BCC.. Go to the company web site and download the manual.
Generally if you have a solar system one of two conditions will exist.
1: The BCC has nothing to do with it, it's tied into either the batteries or the house side of the BCC, but is independent of it operationally.
2: It connects via a fuse in the BCC..
As I recall the BCC on my coach has a fuse position for a solar panel, but the fuse is only a small one, designed for the joke of a panel they put on at the factory (say a 5 or 10 watt battery maintainer panel) and not really useful.
If someone put say a 160 watt panel on that fuse it would last about 10 seconds if they were lucky.
I think you need to trouble shoot your solar system. Sounds like IT has a fault.

Have you went up top and put a voltmeter to the panel? Chances are that 10 year old panel is shot (if it's original of course). I just replaced mine and ran a new line which had a fuse and built-in diode. Hooked it into the BCC where the converter power connects.

I have a Diesel F73-1040 Battery Control Center. I have checked the fuse and it is good and has 12 volts indicated. The solar panel indicates 30+ volts and I have replaced it and the indicator light has been replaced, still not working. Thanks for the reply.

Now we're getting somewhere. I'm pretty sure that the F73-1040 is manufactured by RV Custom Products. They are very helpful and will get you a schematic.

u should have a solar charge regulator correct? if so check the voltage coming in from panels if none go ahead and inspect for a inline fuse to the regulator from solar panels if no fuse the panel connections could be corroded or the panels are no good if all is ok Second thing is to check the voltage leaving the regulator before the outgoing fuse to batteries (via red and black wires) if u indeed did have voltage comming from panels at this point you sould check the fuse before the batteries. last thing to check is the connections at the batteries are correct. ps if the battery inline fuse blew when the tree limb fell it could have caused the solar panels to keep sending power to the regulater without passing any power out of it to disiipate heat and burned up the regulator usally it will be hot to the touch if this happened. hope this helps and good luck
