Battery Power

I'm getting ready to make our first trip in our new 2015 35 K Bounder.
How long will the frid. run on the batteries, I have it on the invertor right now as I did last night. went out this morning and it was off, I'm guessing the batteries were just weak, just ran the gen. for like two hours hope that the batteries are charged up. I want to leave like at 7 am.
Just wondering if I should put food in it yet.

Does you ref not run on LP? The battery will run it for days on LP with no problem.

Do you mean the inverter shut off? If so, probably a low voltage shut-down. They often have a low limit of 11.5 to 11.8 volts. You may damage your batteries if you run them that low on a regular basis. As mentioned, propane is always the best way to run the fridge. That leaves the batteries for other needs, such as running the furnace.

I just looked up a 2015 35K, Bounder, it listed a residential refrigerator .

It also listed a 1200 watt inverter and 2, 6 volt batteries.

If that is the case, you have about 24 hours of battery power, for your refrigerator.

That is with nothing else drawing power and the batteries were fully charged, to start with.

If you're not pugged in, you will need to run the generator for 2 hours or so, twice a day.

I would turn it on 2 hours before you load it with cold food. Most residential refrigerators cool down quick.

Good luck
