Battery Service

Helping friend with 2007 Revolution service batteries. No room. Is there a slide out tray or something to mke it easier. I could see with this setup battery maintenance may be prolonged.

Here is what I did ... Pro-Fill On-board Battery Watering System Installation and Operation.. Now I hook up the squeeze bulb to the water jug and pump for 30 seconds. From Tweetys. Tweetys.com - RV Parts & Accessories - RV Hitches - Warn Products - Search

Before that I cleaned the top of the batteries off and used a funnel with a fill tube.

There are many threads on these forums and others where I state something like "Except in special cases there is NO ADVANTAGE to AGM batteries for the average Rver."

You have cited one of the very special cases.. Where Access is an issue.. Then a Maintenance free type battery (AGM's are maintenance free) is a good choice.

NOTE: AGM may still not be the best choice,,, But it may be hard to find a Maintenance Free battery that is:

1: A Deep cycle (NOTE, not a Marine/Deep cycle)
and 2: NOT an AGM

Though I think Wall-mart has one now (Trolling motor) but not sure.
