battery switches

when i shut off the battery switches,what should still work? i can shut off both switches and still turn on interior lights...is this normal? thanks for any and all replies? 93 fleetwood southwind..ford chassis..im a new owner..just picked it up today..im sure i will have LOTS of questions for you all.......joeh

The only thing that should work with the battery disconnect open that I'm aware of is the LP detector. When you open/close the battery disconnect switch you should hear a relay operation(thud) if you don't either your switch, interconnected wiring or relay is defective.

Only the lighter socket on the dash, radio time and preset stations. Nothing else should work... Sounds like someone bypassed one of the solinoids.

If you are plugged in, the converter will power up the coach. Unplug the cord and you will find that everything turns off.

ahhh..yes it is plugged in..i do hear clicking when i toggle the switches to on..thanks for the replies..i will unplug and try again!
