Bounder 2008 38P Slide Question

I was under my nu2me Bounder last week-end getting familiar with slides and jacks. I was pleased to see the front slides mechanics were fairly simple and exposed in the event of problems. However; I am curious if I should be applying any type of lubricant on the rack and pinion assemblies. The unit only has 5300 miles on it so harsh exposure has been minimal to this point.

Thanks in advance

Here is a link to your manual.
http://support.powergearus.com/techdocs/82-S0010-01.pdf
See maintenance section on page 4. It says only a light weight oil on drive shaft and rollers if it squeaks. Otherwise they don't suggest lubricating it.

Thanks Cliff, jacks and slide manuals are missing in my packet.

I see you pretty well own a thread on the Power Gear jacks. I'll be over there asking some questions after I wade through it. Looks like I have one old version (zip tied) and three of the revised.

Bounder 2008 38P Slide Question

PG may not be making the jacks for new installs anymore but you can still get replacements. It does take time to get some of the parts which is why ( you'll see when you read that thread ) I carried a bunch of spare parts. Their techs are available via email and respond very quickly. They've given me and other members great / fast service. Their address is info@powergearus.com .
