Bounder: 2017 Bounder Experience
Since there is a 2016 Thread, there should be a 2017 one as well. Since the 2017's are starting to hit lots there might be some valuable information out there. I will start off by stating the main difference between the 16 and 17 models (Price). Then the cosmetic evolution of the Bedroom Window placements. I noticed it went from the headboard window placement to the side window placement. Finally in the 33C a rear window placement. 100% of the 2017's Ford Chassis is the 6 speed and making almost everything standard instead of all the different options. These changes are limited to the 35K and 33C. Hopefully, someone might have some experience they might like to share on the 2017 models out there.

With the price increase came a number of options that are now standard. Not sure of them all but there are quite a few. Not worth the price increase IMO but I guess they are being more in line with the tiffin 36la now. And I heard that the 35k is their best seller. Any confirmation on that??
I looked at a '17 this weekend and liked the no carpet all the way thru the bedroom. The slide still does have carpet.
The living room has larger Windows as is the kitchen window. No longer space for the lighting fixture in between the LR windows.

I didn't pick up on the extra wide windows and absence of the light fixture in the living area. Seems like they made a few window changes.

2017 Bounder appliances are cheaper
Biggest change in 2017 Bounders I've looked at (I have a '16 35th anniversary) is installation of off-brand microwaves and Jensen TVs replaced the Sony and LG flat screens.
I also noticed a $25,000 price hike compared to '16 models.

If they put cheaper tv and micro , that shouldn't be included in the 25K price increase, I believe. If you add up all the options from 16 models does that equate to the increase of 25K in options?

We ordered almost everything extra on our 2016 35th and that was about $13K.

How did you get a picture of your coach on the line? I have a Vacationer being built this week in the same factory, would love to see a picture of it.
Thanks,
Dave

Talk to your Holiday Rambler RV sales people, they have tours all the time. If you don't have the time maybe you could coordinate with them to take a pic for you. They are extremely busy there so I was very nice and patient with them. That's what I did. Congrats on your unit.

We have had our 17s for a few weeks now. On the 35k, everything that was in the anniversary pkg is now standard as well as what was in the lx package if memory serves me correctly. They did go to off brand micros as well as jensen tvs which is really a downgrade in my opinion. The one thing with Jensen audio and video products however is that they are tested and built specifically to withstand the rigors of being installed in an rv. They build them to withstand the vibration and temperature changes so that is probably a plus. You also have two new floorplans in the bounder lineup and our rep told us they come on the heavier chassis which a lot of folks have been asking for. I posted pics of the new floorplans a month ago or so. Couple other small cosmetic changes as well. I will snap a few pics tomorrow at work and post them.

Any growing pain issues with your 17 to keep an eye out for?

i'm curious when you say "heavier chassis" do you mean a 24K or 26K ford??? I was at the factory in march and there was no indication that Fleetwood was ordering 24k or 26K chassis for the new bounders. They were pretty adamant that they were staying with the 22K chassis for the bounders.

The 2017 36x and 36y floorplans are both on the Ford 24/30K chassis.
