I'm usually pretty good a ferreting these things out.

We've had our 2006 bounder 34H for over a week and so far I have yet to receive anything over the air on either of the TV's. I'm using a digital tuner/converter and it scans for 15 minutes and finds nothing. The manual states that no signal will be present from the exterior antenna unless the antenna booster is turned on. My problem? I can't find the doggone antenna booster!

I know what boosters look like. Every RV I've had in the last 40 years had one.

BTW, My slides are in. (Would they hide it behind a slide?)

.......MuddyPaws.....1st. let me welcome you to IRV2, a great place to share your stories, and find a lot of knowledge. Look in your upper cabinet area over the dash, if that's where your entertainment center is, find the power outlet where the power cord plugs in, you should find the small switch and the red light for the booster.
Hope this helps, @ least that's where mine is. Once you get it working, let me know how it does because I haven't done mine yet. I have the converter but have not hooked it up. PM would be fine, Good luck,
David G.

You may also have a signal distribution box in the av cabinet. Mine is above the driver's seat. If so, then push the antenna button this will turn on the booster. You need to push the button before starting the tv programing. Let us know what works so that others can avoid the same problem.

I've been all through the cabinets in the front. No 'traditional' booster to be found. The traditional booster is the one with the button & red LED and the one I'm most familiar with.

I have the black distribution box with three sets of 'source' buttons. If I understand correctly: if I have this box I won't have the traditional booster?

So far the only thing that works is playing DVD's.

Thanks for your help!

We have a 2006 Bounder & there is no booster button switch, what you call a "traditional booster". The booster is built into the distribution box - the black box that has all the buttons on it that read:
DVD SAT ANT VCR CABLE. There will be a set of buttons for each TV in your coach (probably 2) a set labelled for VCR RECORDING (for way back in the ancient times when coaches came with VCR's )

I'm going to assume you still have the RCA CRT TV's in your coach that came with the 2006 models. If so, & you are using a DTV converter box, you need to have the ANT button pushed in that corresponds to the TV you want to receive stations on. That should be all you need to do.

Now for some really simple questions (please don't be offended, I've done one or more of these before myself. We've since replaced the CRT TV's with LED HDTV's):
#1 Is the power on to the DTV converter box?
#2 Is the antenna up?
#3 Have you tried rotating the antenna & re-scanning?
#4 The TV in the bedroom is powered by the 12v inverter (ours is). Is the inverter switch turned on?

Mine is different from Lori's. I have a white switch plate with a black button in the center. When button is pushed , a green light is illuminated and the booster is activated. I also have a dist. box that sends sat. , dvd and aux to three tv's. I also have a black box that switches to cable, antenna and sat. All are located in the same cabinet to the right of the TV.

The problem was a blown inline fuse on the 12V line feeding the black box. It wasn't easy to find because it was pushed pretty far back in there. It's a 3A fuse, (Purple). I replaced the fuse and everything works as expected.

The funny/weird thing is that there is a 12V fuse in the Panel under the bed for the A/V cabinet, this one just for just the black box in the cabinet. Seems redundant. I was looking for a place to hook up a multi-meter when I found the fuse.

I think they might all be different.
I have no switch of any sort in the A/V cabinet. Just the black box. Toshiba TV's front & rear, Zenith DVD/VCR/Sound system and they all operate either on AC 'OR' the inverter.

Everything except the black box will be replaced soon. I'm putting in a 37" LED TV with a matching Blue Ray HT system. It looks like replacing all but the rear speakers of the surround sound system is going to be pretty easy. The speakers are stuck on with hot glue. I've done several of these types of mods before and this looks like one of the easier ones.

If the black box has a booster in it is sure ain't much of a boost. The Montana fiver I just sold would almost peg the signal meter on most of the local channels. This one doesn't even get as high as 50%. I think I'll be shopping for a good booster/amp or a new antenna.
