Okay....I know I shouldn't even ask this question but I'm looking at a 2005 Bounder M-34F (Workhorse). We've owned a Winnebago and National ...but never a Bounder.

Here goes......what do I need to know about Fleetwood and Bounder????

I was following your ins. claim. I guess they totaled it. Sorry. I love my Bounder. At the end of the day , all three brands you mentioned are in the same class. Good luck.

Actually they haven't offically totalled it but they 'accidentally' sent us a letter last week asking for the keys and title. Hmmmmm.....

P.S. If you need brochures/flyers for it, click on the sticky in the Fleetwood Forum & then on the links in my post.

There was a small RV show over the weekend here in Cleveland that had about 20 MH's displayed....The one Bounder displayed did offer a lot of stuff for the price. And yes, it did have that 2-3 person sized shower..WOW....Lori I'm jealous of your shower size.... I stood in many of the other MH's shower stalls and they were not much larger than my trailers stall.

In my fifteen years experience I found: Best manufacturer to work with Tiffin. 2nd Best company Gulfstream. Best company for ideas and good construction Fleetwood. I know you will read a lot of post about Fleetwood problems, but I think that is because they make so many.

Since it's on a WH chassis, verify the brake recall was done. Also check the tires for checking if they're original.

Yeah, Jim, I keep looking at other coaches & none have my size shower. I ain't givin' that up any time soon.

Our first coach was a 90 Bounder that we purchased used. It was well taken care and it was a good deal for us and we loved it.
When we decided to look for a new one we were looking at new Bounders, we still believed them as the best bang for the buck. We found a good deal on a used 05 with the big bathroom across the back, almost bought it but we got a better deal on our 05 Southwind!
But long story short we got our start in a Bounder and thought enough of it to buy another and we sure do love our Southwind!

Regards,
RovinOn

How can I check and see if the brake recall is done ....other than taking the owner/dealers word? By the way, what IS the recall about?

Hey Clark,

Here's Workhorse Recall website:
Brake Recall Resource Center

I've had 17 used motorhomes of 6 manufacturers and Fleetwood has always given me my moneys worth and more. You get a Bounder Nation of fine owners and fellow club members along with your new to you Bounder.
I put my money where my mouth is and bought a brand new one in 2008.

And, as for Fleetwood, you get to come to their great rallies where you'll meet other motorhome owners & see the newest coaches. I just posted info in the FW Forum on 2 upcoming ones.

Also on that Bounder, if it's got a Norcold fridge, check to be sure the recall has been done. Here's a link: Norcold recall.
