Bounder>Discovery Update!

First, Thanks to all with the suggestions and comments. An update for you all and I will equate all in USD.

We looked at the Discovery 40E both 2013's and 2014's, beautiful unit but none in Canada for less than 268k which means about 142k difference to add, not including taxes.

We are going to look at a Expedition 38S (2013) which is on sale for 199k, so that is about 100k difference before taxes.

I think a Discovery is out of my price range and the Expedition is on the border....

Now, I see in the great state of Texas, a 2013 Thor Tuscany 40XTE on sale for 179k! It looks like a pretty attractive unit! All the options and a fireplace! Problem is of course, what do to with our Bounder as I don't have the time to fool around with importing it to the US and bringing the Thor home.... and the idea FSBO of our unit doesn't put lead in my pencil either with all the tire kickers out there wanting it for nothing.

But I see there are Discovery's down there on sale for the low 200's....Hmmmm

What amazes me is there must be a whole lotta mark up in these units if they can drop the price that much for being one year out of date and the selection in the US is astounding, of course 10x the market as well.

In the meantime, we had a great time last weekend in the Bounder.Keep you posted!

IMHO avoid the Thor. Study the posted issues on the many owners forum. They have re designed the 2014 Tuscany's maybe some of the QC issues have been resolved. Again my personal opinion only.

My opinion as well, though I have never owned a Thor. I've just done a lot of reading.

Brian, I think most of us have the same problem as you...the only thing between us and a Prevost is the money.
