I have done a search or three here and cannot seem to find this so plz excuse if this has already been covered:

How do BOA and BU compare? Which has more members? Is there one that is more prevelant in east as opposed to west coast? I know the two have a combined national rally.

I'm trying to decide which if either we should join.
Thoughts?

Hi again Chuck and Pam,

The two national organizations are very similar in what,
how, when and why they do things. Bounders of America has more members in the east and Bounders United has many more in the western states. Fuel considerations have made this line even more pronounced and to conserve fuel people are less willing to travel to the other coast for a national rally so for the past few years both organizations have tried to unify the rally and centralize the locations. It's only $15.00/year to join either group so many belong to both groups.
Unification of the two would create a stronger organization but the majority of members have said, "for the time being let’s wait." One resolution could be to have 2 annual national rallies on opposite coasts because even going to the center of the nation is too expensive for many therefore; the best showing of members to a national rally is on their respective coast.

Steve

Thank you Sir! just what I was looking for.

We've had the Bounder for 6 seasons now, and have never joined any of the groups. You know.. still have to work for a living and the ralleys dont fit in the schedule. But I would like to join. I have also connected with the new Fleetwood Owners group.

Thanks again!

Chuck,

What you can do is go to the BOA website and look up a local chapter close to you and they may invite you to a campout convenient to your time constraints.
I know how it is when your not retired yet. Time is of the essence and never enough hours in the day.

Steve

Hello Chuck & Pam,

Although BOA has a larger membership on the east coast, BU has the only active chapter in NC, The Carolina Guroos. Here is a contact e-mail:
