I just bought a trailer to tow behind my 2005 Discovery and was wondering if anyone out there knows if the motorhome is pre-wired for a brake control. I have the 7 way plug- in on the MH but don't know about the electric brake wiring. If anyone can help, I would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 07 Terra LX and fleetwood said that there is a 14 inch blue wire under the dash. Turns out that it was four inches long and took my boy an hour to find it. It was behind the air duct. It has a tag that says electric brake on it. Hopes this helps.

glen taylor jr. is correct about the blue wire. but usually MH's do not come pre-wired like pickups or suvs do with the plug and play type adapters. You will probably have to run hot wires yourself.

I sent a pm to Jon Brazel with Brazel's performance and he was kind enough to tell me how to wire up a brake controller.
If you cannot find out how to do this....let me know and I can try and send his pm to me to you.
good luck

Actally Ford chassis do come prewired for an electric brake controller. They also have a 6 or 7 pin connector at the rear of the coach. In most cases however the #10 blue wire for the brakes is not terminated at the trailer connector. It's folded back in the Ford chassis wiring harness and taped off.

In our case it took about 1/2 an hour to install a brake controller, and another hour to find and terminate the #10 blue wire at the connector.
