Brake sound when backing up

I've noticed that after a trip, when the coach has set up over night or longer, when I start to back up and apply the brakes there's a very loud rubbing sound and continues until I release the brake peddle. The first time this did this to me I drove around the block, came back to the house, stopped, puy it in reverse and it made no noise. Once I start the motor I do let it run for 5 or so minutes and let the pressures build up before I put in reverse. I thought I wasn't letting it run long enough in neutral. It does not make the noise after a long trip, either. Appreciate any help or advise you can offer.

With no info, this sounds normal with cold break pads on cold discs.

I have seen this happen when you park for a while and rust builds up on the rotors. The pads slightly touch the rotors and if there is rust, You hear a slight scrubbing sound.

The brakes should also self-adjust when applied in reverse. You may be hearing the slack adjusters doing their job.
