Broken water line

I un-winterized the 36S over the weekend and everything was great...until...I hooked up a hose to wash out the black tank. Water started running out from under the coach. There must have been some water trapped in the line. When I reached in to figure out what the problem was, I found the feed line had about a 3 inch crack in it.

Anyone know the size and type of PVC I need to replace a section??

Just cut it out and take it with you to the shop. Good luck.

What year is your RV and what is the color of the broken pipe?

My 1999 Bounder has cpvc pipe easy to work with but does not do well with freezing water pipes.

I'll bet it's cpvc pipe as well. Kind of bear to work with on especially if you do not have much room. I'd change it over to pex tubing if you could while doing the repair.

Shark bite makes a fitting for repairing a broken pipe it's about six inches long you need to cut out the broken section slide the fitting on then using the release tool slide it onto the pipe on the other end. I found them at Home Depot I think it was around twelve dollars for the half inch, makes it a five min. repair job.

I don't know the size or type of pipe you need.
However, when I winterize I have to manually release the built in check valve in the hose connector for my black tank flush.
If I don't the the water that remains in the plastic pipe between my hose connector and my black tank can freeze and damage the pipe.
