Buying a 2005 Fleetwood Discovery 39S!!!

My husband is flying up to Portland area to look at a 05 Discovery 3 slides DP 330 engine. We have had it inspected by Big Rig Mobile and they gave it a clean bill of health. They did not test drive, but they did an engine test with load on it. Said the engine looked very well taken care of, including all fluids, as well as the inside of the coach. Dual-pain windows were tested for fogging and all appliances were in working order. Hubby is going to fly down and test drive rig, but he's not a mechanic and we have only owned trailers up to this point. Any pointers, things to look for?? The mechanic found the chassis batteries were bad and those have been replaced. Tires on rear will need replacing soon. Anything other major "red flags"?? Any help will be appreciated!!!

That's a funny story. We had it inspected by a diesel mechanic up there and he performed a bunch of tests on the engine and said it was a good coach except it needed new back tires. No biggie there. So my husband flew up there and the seller (a dealer) came and picked him up and drove him to where the coach was stored. I had the same diesel mechanic that inspected the vehicle meet him out there cause this is our first DP. As they were checking out the engine, the air-conditioning compressor froze up, which caused, I guess, the main drive belt to snap and go flying out the back of the engine. So the coach was not able to be driven and the part was not readily available to fix it. Thank God no money exchanged hands yet. After that, we asked for the dealer to help us out with a warranty cause we already knew tires had to go on and he said that he couldn't. Since the coach was not going to be ready until sometime this week because of part availability, my husband got on a plane, coach-less, and came home. The dealer now is going to ask for more money for the rig to recoup his costs of the repair which is about $1500. So we are back on the market!!!
