Carefree Freedom Awning 2019 Southwind 35K

This awning is a real piece of junk. Awnings are important, but this awning self retracts at the slightest wind. Might as well not have one. Everyone is sitting under their awning at the RV park, but oh no, wife and I are sitting out in the sun. Now, I have an awning that won't stow all the way in the cradle. Called Carefree and they said it must be an adjustment problem. I asked where I should get it adjusted. The answer: Adjustments aren't covered under warranty. So the awning is not stowed and I risk the chance of it deploying and ripping off of the RV (I've heard of this happening). They dont care. This is a safety hazard. Am now trying to get Fleetwood to cover it. If anybody out there is looking to purchase an RV with this Carefree Freedom awning, keep looking.

Adjustment is easy. I’ve posted the instructions on here. Do a search. It works a lot better once adjusted properly
