I was at my dealer today strolling around the lot looking at all the cool Class A diesels while waiting for my coach in service. I noticed there is a cell-like antenna (short with the curled load in the rod) on the passenger side front of the new diesel Bounders/Expeditions, and others. Is this the CB antenna?
Anyone know what brand it is? I am looking for a no-ground CB antenna for my coach, and I really like the profile of this antenna -- might even fit in my barn!
I am guessing it is a Firestik no-ground cell look-alike CB antenna, but would like to know if anyone has had any experience with it and how does it work.

I installed the Firestik no-ground CB and it works fine. I've been a ham operator for 40 years and did a lot of research before I bought it. I got the SWR down to 1.3:1 which is about as good as it gets. In laymans terms this is just an indication of reflected power. Works great for me.

Tincup,
Thanks. I just ordered a Firestik low profile antenna, which looks just like the ones I described above. Glad to know it should work well.
