OK, I apologize in advance to those of you who love the mirror thing. Personally, I don't get it...and I don't like 'em. For example, here on the right of the dinette...

There are 3 or 4 of them in the Bounder and I'd like to remove them...but first I'd like to know what's behind them. Do they cover access panels, or are they strictly "decorative?" Has anyone sucessfully removed them and how did you do it? Should I contact Fleetwood to see what lurks beneath? Thanks.

We have been in some really high end coaches here at Lazy Days that have so many ceiling and wall mirrors that I was looking for the pole dancing poles. Not that I would know what they looked like.
To answer your question, I think a call to FW would be your best bet.

I'll call them tomorrow. I really don't "get" the mirror thing. If they can be easily removed, they're history.

Pretty sure the mirros are there for decor. Private jets do the same thing. Mirrors tend to fool the eyes a little making spaces look larger than they are. Makes them popular in RV's.
The mirror should be attached with a device that holds it in place somewhat tight to prevent it from bouncing off during travel. Maybe use a small mirror and flashlight to look behind it to see if it slides off sideways, up over a hook or what. If you find a panel behind there, replace the mirror with a picture you like. Betting there is no hidden panel though.
Let us know what you find!
Best wishes.

There's a good chance they are held on with industrial adhesive. If so, removing the mirrors will leave marks where the adhesive is. If they were glued on to the "wood", you may have to cover that will with new wood or wallpaper. Best to call FW...

They used double sided tape on our DSDP, the mirrors will usually break when trying to remove them, then you can pull the tape off.

So they quit putting windows there? That's chintzy!! I've got windows on the sides of my slideouts.

Are there any plugs over what would look like screw holes? We've got a large framed mirror on a wall in our Bounder. There are wooden plugs that pop off to reveal the screws holding it to the wall. Although, if it's a small enough mirror, it might be held on with mirror mastic.

If you do want to cut adhesive loose from behind them, used guitar or bass strings work well. My guys use them to cut caulking between cabinets and counter tops.

Do you use a "G" string?

On a sober note, that works on the double sided tape too.

There is a window on one end of the slideout, but not both ends. Doesn't seem chintzy to me; I like it.

ETA--I just remembered why there is no window there. The pantry is on that end of the slide. This pic sort of shows the pantry...

Pole dancing,"G" strings ...this is getting good, time for some pop corn.
I had one of those mirrors in my Neptune ,I broke it taking it off. Then carefully removed the double stick tape.
