I have a 2004 Pace Arrow and need to replace a compartment or luggage door latch. Does anyone have a source for buying these latches. Thank you.

800-322-8216......That's the phone number of Fleetwood tech & parts. Be sure to have your VIN number at the ready - they need that to be sure you get the correct parts. Hold on to that number.!

I believe you meant the FIN or Fleetwood Identification Number.

Bin, fin, gin, sin, tin, whatever. It just needs to be the longest number on the sticker. I think that Fleetwood service is the best thing since sliced bread. Thank you great god Fleetwood.

have you tried a dealer? just asking; I expected to get ripped off on a door latch, the dealer had it in stock for less than I could get it for on-line, not even counting shipping.

I have a broken latch on one of my 2003 Southwind bay doors. Is there a trick to getting the old latch out?

......Do a search on this, it has been described in detail before. I had a latch that was STUCK, and finally figured a way to repair it secessfully. To replace the latch, the end of the door frame has to be removed, since the door is full of foam. Good luck,
David G.

if by "latch" you mean the slidey bolt thing, you can remove it by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in, and removing the cover plate over the back of the pull handle and releasing the pull rod to the bolt thing so it'll just come out the end.

the new bolt thing was only a few dollars, but the newer ones have a different hole pattern so I had to drill a couple of new screw holes, no big deal.

In case anyone is interested, a company in California makes the storage compartment latches using Aluminum plungers, not plastic.

I think they are around $16.00 each.. Not bad for something that should last a long time.
