Unhappy Crackling

we have an "03 Bounder with 23,000 miles and I am at least every other day trying to figure out what is the cause..what has happened is that this crackling is spreading like a cancer over the sides of the MH..("Crackling:" fine spider like cracks..)...the front and the back of the MH is not showing any signs of this as well as all the compartment doors...I wash the MH 4 times a year and wax it at least 2 times a year...using Meguiars Marine/RV wax...what also happens is that depending on humidity/moisture the microscopic like crackling looks like little microscopic mold that with a damp cloth can be wiped off..is there anyone out there who has dealt with or is familiar with this "crackling?"..also the front passenger & driver side top and bottom look like Fleetwood was a bit light on the paint application..this also appears on the very back sides...actually this is all rather difficlut to describe...hopefully one can get some sort of a visual pictures...of "crackling"

Since this post is about a non-chassis issue, I'm moving it to the FLEETWOOD forum. ED

ED,
Are you saying this "crackling' can be wiped off??? Or just that it is more visible in the morning dew?

There is a known problem with the sidewall material in coaches on the range of roughly 2002-2006. Many manufacturers have had minute cracks or pits occur, especially in dark colored coaches with full body paint. It is a defect in the material they got from their supplier. The problem is usually called micro-cracking. The fix is to grind it down and re-paint or better yet, replace the sidewalls altogether. The front and rear caps and bay doors are not affected because they are made with a different process and materials.

Unfortunately, you are out of warranty and therefore on your own with this problem.
