I own a 39 ft 2003 Fleetwood 39c Discovery deisel coach. The dash air has stopped working and I have a friend who knows automotive AC. After some troubleshooting he belives the problem is the pressure switch. Problem is the pressure switch is located in a stack of modules under the dash board and it appears to access the pressure the whole dash has to be removed. Can anyone verify or dispell the assumption??

Over the years when I have had Dash air problems I found I always got the best advise and repair at a truck refrigeration specialist. They have the test equipment and parts right there.

Hey Bob;
I just downloaded the 03 discovery brochure from Fleetwood and I would be surprised that you couldn't access the ac thru the front of the bus (the generator access door).. have you looked under there?

There is a stack of ac modules under the dash, the pressure switch seems to be in the middle of the stack. There is only about a quarter if an inch between the top of the stack and the dash. To access the pressure switch you need to unstack the modules.

I had a problem in 2006 with my Damon's dash air.. A professional techinican told me it was the pressure switch (Which I believe should be closer to the compressor than the dash but what do I know, I'm not, and I stress NOT an automotive AC expert)

Neither was the techinican it turns out.. IT was a different part entierly..
