Dash Air Conditioner Noisy
On my 08 Providence the dash AC makes an annoying high pitch sound when the condenser kicks in. It's so bad that sometimes I prefer to be a little warm rather than have to listen to it. I have the rig in for service now for other items and the service tech refused to even write that complaint on the list as he said it was normal. Have any of you experienced the same issue? It's really strange to be riding down the road and have that kick in ever 10 minutes or so and run for a few minutes and shut off. If the dealer won't fix it are there after market corrections I can make?
Thanks
Ed

Sounds like "normal" in this case could be a design defect. Maybe they all do it the same obnoxious way.

If you are talking about the AC condenser fans coming on, it's normal, albeit, annoying. They are right under the D/P seats. Robbie

Same here Ed. One good thing... it is quieter inside than outside.

Is it the fans itself that make the noise from the blades, or is it the way the fan is enclosed in the closure with the small duct work that is too small for air velocity? We need more info to give a reasonable answer................

It's the speed of the fan motors, and pitch of the blades. There is no duct work. We both have the same type rigs. Robbie

yes and it can't be the duct work because the noise is intermittent while the ac is running. It's just when the condenser kicks in... high pitch noise for a while then it shuts off... very annoying

Hey Robbie; Mine is the 40E and yes we really do love it. They are very similar but what I prefer about my floor plan is the 1.5 baths. It's great to have an extra...
