On our Bounder with v10 engine we have never had a decent hot blower inside when travelling. She dies run cold which I suspect is a good thing, as shown on photo.
But is there any upgrade which can be fitted to the existing heating radio to give more heat out.

Maybe the engine thermostat is stuck open........

Absolutely. If its not stuck, the heater hose cutoff valve is broken.

Sorry ni picture. But the temp gauge sits well below the halfway point.

Thermostat is brand new as engine just been rebuilt, but it was just the same beforehand.

So which part is this, we do have slightly warm air from engine but not as we expect to be a lot warmer.

Heater core plugged?

My truck get plugged every few years because in summer there is no flow going thru it. I disconnect both hoses and spray water through until it runs clear. Fixes it every time.

If I remember to run heat for a few minutes in summer it seems to help prevent this.

On the early model F53 chassis, this was a problem. I installed a upgrade on many motorhomes to cure this. It consisted of two y fittings, a small heater core, a shutoff, and 8 feet of heater hose. The y fittings were inserted into the heater hoses at the engine. The heater core was installed at the outlet of the heater. The heater core was small. About two inches or so high. Now the air was heated twice. Once at the regular core, then again at the second core. This made a big difference. I am sorry,I don't remember if it was Fleetwood or Allegro (we were dealers for both manufacturers) that supplied the kit. It could have been Ford that supplied the kit.
