Just purchased a 1996 Pace Arrow that the dealer advertised as being a 33L model. Today while searching for the serial number, I found out that it is a 32G, not the 33L. NADA shows the value of the 32G is $3,500 less than the 33L. I think the dealer should refund the difference in value, or provide some store credit, what do you think?

He got your money, not much you can do.
Check the sales paperwork, if it lists the model you might have a shot

The paperwork and title says it is a 33L, but according to Fleetwood customer service and the sticker in the closet it is a 32G. Guess I will wait and see what the dealer has to say tomorrow.

I'm not a lawyer and haven't even stayed at a Holiday Inn Express for a while, but it seems to me that if the unit was titled as a 33L the dealer was probably operating in good faith and it would be tough to recoup any money.
Good luck...

If the contract says it's a 32L then you don't have the model you thought you were buying. That's probably a breach of contract since you don't have what the contract specifies. HOWEVER, it's possible that the VIN overrides the description and you're stuck. That will take an private attorney or the AG's office to unravel. I'd contact your AG's office if the dealer refuses to help and see what your state law says on a contract.

Yep, you made a deal based on something you liked I assume. I had a little issue on my Bounder after I got it home. It was listed as a 2001 33R, I couldn't find any info in Fleetwood's website that a 33R was made in 2001, 2002 yes, but not 2001. When the title came in the mail it listed it as a 2001, so that's what I have. No big deal. Enjoy your new PA.

I'd want the numbers on the vehicle and the title to match.

I would also check with your insurance company, don't want any problems if you need to file a claim

Now THERE is some pragmatic advice...
Wish I'd thought of it!

VIN says it all, not dealers falt if title list what he said he sold matches title. You need MFG help and change title at tag office.

I think you do have a "Case" But I"m not sure who it is against, Let me review the facts.
The paperwork says 33L, The title (Does it say 33L or does it just say "Motor home" or some such)
The coch is a 32G
Now, the question is this:
Did the dealer "Inflate" the coach, or did he buy it "Inflated"?
Once you have the answer to that.. You know who to file against.
Question: By the time the hollering is done,, Will you be money ahead?
Fact:
Near (not in) Detroit there was a car dealer who sold a new "hot" car (The Viper comes to mind) one of his customers had been promised, per him , a "Low serial number" car, but when he got it it was much later in the production run than he expected, turns out later customers got earlier numbers.. He sued.
A settlement was reached.. (not a court decision but court medeated)
A reporter niavely ask the dealer "Who won?"
The dealer quite properly answered: "The lawyers"
Remember his answer as you consider filing.
However if you find the dealer is the one who "inflated" the rig.. Let the Department of Motor Vehicles knwo s they may wish to take action independent of you.

No case against the dealer because, as said, if the paper work FROM THE STATE says 33L, then the dealer acted in good faith..
However, not that YOU know it might not be correct, YOU must get it changed before you resell it.

The dealer is considered an expert here it is not a casual sale between two ordinary people! ---Breech of contract-therefore the sales contract is null & void.---However what & who will enfororce the Law.Contact the States Attorney Office for leverage .-----HOW CAN YOU TELL A AUTO / RV DEALER / SALESPERSON IS LYING ?----THEIR LIPS ARE MOVING !
