Digital clock above the dinning table in 83 Pace Arrow

In our 83 Pace Arrow, The cheap JVC digital alarm clock that is built into the cabinet above the dinning table is bad, and worthless.

I am seeking either a replacement or another clock that I could install flush where the current one is, that are is approx 7" long by 6" tall, and I want to be able to wire it into th existing 12 volt.

Has anyone found a replacement that worked in that spot, I have to assume that this clock has failed in many other RVs.

There are plenty of cheap digital clocks out there but so far I have not been able to locate one that I could install flush and have it looks as if it belonged there. I have already checked out Walt's RV Salvage, in Fontana, with no luck.

Any Ideas?

The clock in my 5er 'died'. My fix was a $5 replacement digital set of 'innards' plus an hour of tinkering. Most of these 'innards' are held only by the nut under the hands. You also might need a new set of hands for it as well. These can be found at most craft shops like Michael's or even some of the larger Wal Marts. Total cost - less then ten bucks and an hour. I've done several other clocks that way as well. Of course, you can buy even better 'innards' on line or a clock shop, but not sure that they are worth the extra money.
