Dimming lights

I have some ceiling lights that you can dim up and down that are controlled by a rocker switch , my question is there a control box that does this or a rheostat in the rocker switch

Some older MHs tap the center of the 6 volt house batteries for dimming the lights.

Not sure if they are still doing that. If you have 6 volt house batteries, look for a wire between the series sets.

Rheostat is in the switch on most.
