Question Discovery dash fan/power seat problems

I have a 2000 Discovery that I am trying to fix, one thing at a time. Today, I removed the passenger dash fan (the one up by the windshield) and found that the reason it didn't work was that the motor was frozen. Does anyone know if the dash fans are on the same circuit as the power drivers seat? I ask because my drivers seat keeps blowing fuses and I can't find a fuse for the dash fans. I'm hoping to solve two problems at the same time.

Hello stvscharfe,

Would it make sense to disconnect the fan and try another fuse at driver’s seat? If it doesn’t blow then the short circuiting fan is inline and must be replaced, thereby solving both problems.

I would say separate fuses. You might check under your seat and make sure the track did not pinch the wires, mine did.

Thanks Rooster. They are separate fuses. I still can't locate which is the dash fan circuit but I've got two new dash fans ordered. I found that the reason the dash fans didn't work was because of one being frozen.
As far as the power seat goes, I have no power at the seat itself. The fuses check out but somewhere in between there's a disconnection. If I can't find it, I think I'll just run two wires from under the dash and put in an inline fuse holder and use that. I checked the seat and it works perfectly when hooked directly to a battery.

I would double check fuses one more time I have 1 for movement and 1 for heat on each chair for a total of 4 fuses.
