I have a friend that has a 2003 southwind and we can't find how to open the Dog House. We can open the small hole but not the large part of it. Can some one smarter then us tell us how to open it?? Thank You.

The doghouse is two parts. The top part comes off for routine servicing. The bottom part is attached and must be removed for heavy servicing. To remove the lower part, you must peal back the edge of the carpet. Remove the screws around the base. Use a sharp knife or razor blade to cut the sealant around the base. Then you can remove the bottom part.

The Strom that I just put flooring in, the doghouse- lower part has a flange on the forward firewall with some screws. The lid has pop-rivets in the hinges. That sealant is really tough

ga traveler,
Would this be the same for a 2004 FLAIR? I tried to remove it, but could not find any screws on top, or from underneath.
