Own 1997 American Dream - fabulous coach. Need to replace the gas strut that keeps the entry door open and closes it without much ado. The original has faded Info on it and it's ran "out of gas" . I am experiencing difficult time (hours on the internet and local part stores) locating one to replace it with. Cannot find the right combination of 10-15 lbs of presure with the 26.25" length (at center of divot/hole.) is located on the lower inside right hand side corner. Any help will be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Try here. If you can't find what you're looking for give them a call. I understand they are very helpful.

Thank you Debaets. Tried the link, and talked with Tom Engelbert. They do not stock (no surprise to me after hours of searching) the specific gas strut, but offered to create one prototype with my specs and sell it to me for a VERY reasonable price. Thanks again.

If I'm not mistaken, that coach is a Fleetwood product. Based on that assumption, I suggest calling Fleetwood (or what ever the mfr is) and buying one from them. Fleetwoods Phone is 800-322-8216.

Mrmudstud and nbounder, thank you for your input. Tried your links and phone #s. No dice. MH is old and not a very common at that. I have found zillions of struts with the correct size etc but the are ALL rated at 80#s to 100#s. The staff at FUTURE SALES were very helpful in getting one with my specs rated at 15 to 20#s; Just what the doctor ordered. Thanks again.
