Drain Water Tank - Amer Tradition

I have new to me a 2011 American Tradition. I filled the water tank to disinfect and now need to drain. The quick drain valve doesn't seem to do anything unless the water pump is running and then it's very slow. Does anyone know of another drain valve?

Nope. You pump the tank dry using the Cold & Hot water low point drains. And since the pump intake isn't quite at the bottom of the tank, some water is always left behind.

Thanks very much for the information. Now I know another fact about the coach. With my previous Winnebago motorhome I seemed to learn something new every time we traveled for 8 years. Now it seems I'm starting over.

Join the American Coach Owners Group, a Yahoo Group for people like us. It's a great resource for American Coach owners, e.g. to get answers to simple questions about care and use. I'm still a member even though we sold the coach is December 2016.

The bleach smell will dissipate in a few days. In the meantime, your laundry will be nice and bright.

It should drain the fresh water tank....you can see the hose from the bottom of the tank thru the valve to the end extending downward....are you sure it opened when you turned it to the open position...C
