Drawers coming out

I have a 2017 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35K. It has the dining booth with drawers under the seats. While traveling on several occasions the drawers have slid out when I make turns. The ones in the pantry also did that and I installed velcro straps across the fronts. But I cannot figure out how to fix the ones under the seats in the dining booth. Any ideas would be apprecated.

Have you checked to see if you have locking latches installed on the drawers? These come loose, break. See link and inspect yours. You may want to install these. They come in 5 and 10 pound pull force.

Many RVs use some form of locking latch or glide track to prevent that. The rest have a manual lock bolt of some kind installed. Child safety locks are one common aftermarket solution, but your HR almost surely has some sort of latch built in.

A typical drawer latch is a friction device that can be opened simply by pulling extra hard. Here are a couple examples:

Satin Nickel Plated Brass Bead RV Catches

Some others have an indentation in the drawer slide that the glide wheels settle into and a lift & pull motion is used to overcome the latch.

Perhaps another HR Vacationer owner can tell you what type of latch it has, but it appears yours are not working properly. They can be repaired, of an alternate & improved method installed.

The drawers already have that type of friction lock installed. The drawers have quite a bit of weight in them and I think that is the problem. The drawer front is covered with a leather like type of material and without messing up the look of the front of the drawer I see no way of installing a lock. I will look at the suggestion of kids locks. Maybe that would work. Thank for the suggestion

Then you can install the 10-15 lb pull latches I sent you a link to. Unless you make very hard, fast turns or trying to stop on a dime, your drawers will stay in.
Good Luck!

I've used the nickel plated brass beads that Gary mentioned and the nice thing is you can tighten the balls with a screwdriver to adjust for the weight of stuff in the drawers. They connect on the inside of the drawers so no difference to the outside look. I replaced all the plastic ones because they constantly were breaking and causing the drawers to slide out when making turns.
