Drivers side mirror glass flew off on the highway.

we were on our first trip with our new to us Bounder and the glass of the drivers side mirror flew off while traveling down the highway.

I found on the Velvac site the mirror glass, but I'm trying to figure out what other parts I may need to order.

does anybody have an exploded diagram of the mirror internals?

Instructions on how to put it back together if it's not obvious would be helpful too!

Thanks!

I spoke to them ( 15 years ago ) when I needed some warranty . They were and maybe still helpful. Have you tried calling them?

I wouidl need a detailed photo.

THe glass fits in a plastic holder that snaps into another plastic holder that snaps into the mirror with the nylong gear rails for the adjustments.

Don't know how much you lost.

falling mirror

Had same problem in our 05 Bounder. Contacted velvac got a new glass I too was not sure how it went in put it up there pushed in and it pops in with a click. Still not sure of quality of repair so I used 4 pieces of shipping tape, bottom, top and sides. Kinda of pinched the tape as to let me use elec mirror and so far has not fell out again. Sent a picture and email to velvac to make them feel bad, tape holding there mirror in..... they agreed it didnt look good but the mirror has not fell out again yet. No confidence.
Guess a blast from the past as a kid duct tape and baling wire will do wonders. At least the tape is clear and not grey.
