Engine AC issues

We have a 2014 36E. We hit a deer in NJ early 2016. Before that the engine AC wasn't working too well. The front end was repaired complete with the front 'radiators'. We noticed immediately that the AC was much more effective driving back 'home'. The RV was parked for 4 months until we went on a trip recently and noticed the AC was not working very well as we drove back. Any ideas?

Check the dryer on the system. It should have a little glass window in the top. If there is a white bubbling foam in it when the AC is on and the compressor is pumping you're low on freon. If so have it checked for a leak somewhere. The repair shop may have missed tightening a line or there may be a leak in a new part somewhere. The repair shop should have equipment to detect leaks or, they should be able to recommend someone who does or, or you can check it yourself if you know how and what to do.

I would agree with c92vette.

The AC condenser is in front of the radiator and was probably removed for the repairs. At least that's the way our Flair is. Probably a small refrigerant leak.
