Can anyone tell me how to access the engine from inside the coach?
The Bounder 39R has a rear bedroom slide-out. When I look under the rear bed all I see is the heavy framework for the slide out. I looked in the rear closet floor which is the very back of the coach and most likely area, but cant find any screws to possibly remove the carpet and flooring? Maybe the screws are buried in the closet carpet?

Cannot find any info on-line. Making a quess.

"Most" diesel pusher have access to the engine under the bed. You said "When I look under the rear bed all I see is the heavy framework for the slide out".

Is there a panel between the framework that could be removed? Screwed down or maybe clipped between the rails? Get a good flashlight and look hard. Hopefully the access panel is visable.

I don't have slide. Mine is under the bed, but also under an access panel that is carpeted in black. Unless you know to look for the latches, you can't see that it unhooks and lifts up for engine access.

Good Luck!

Mine is a 2002 39R. Hope this helps. Slide out bed, lift on hyd cylinders. Unscrew the RH bed frame 'box' and slide out the assy(you will have the RH side rail and 2 perpendicular pieces attached. Remove the furnace return air grill, and lift up the carpeted plywood(no screws). Takes a bit of finesse to slide it out of the slideout side. Once that is out, you will see the 6 screws that hold on the engine cover. Cover goes from partway under the bed(which you now have removed to the front of the closet.
