Entrance door adjustment on Bounder

I have done a search on this but found no matches.

I have an '05 Bounder and if you look at the entrance door, just below the latch, there is what looks like an adjustment of some kind. The nut and bolt on mine is loose but I don't know what it adjusts and don't want to arbitrarily tighten it. Does anyone know what this dohicky does and do I have a problem? The door seems to work fine.

Tighten the nut but count the amount of turns in case you have to return it to its original position.

Thanks, I turned it clockwise and it did smooth out the latch mechanism.
