Expedition Solar Hard Wire Run

I am trying to plan the installation of solar panels on the roof of my 2009 Fleetwood Expedition 38B and perplexed where to run the combined box on the roof, to the solar controller in the outside electrical storage cabinet. The cabinet currently stores the inverter and shore power and adjacent to the battery compartment, therefore, a perfect spot for the controller. The vent stack doesn't appear to be an option because as it terminates below the floor. I have thought about going through the rear closet and then through the battery compartment.

Has a one with this model made the run from the roof?

If you can place the combiner box directly above the closet, just need a hole out the bottom of the combiner box. Dicor around the hole, put the box in place, a bead of Dicor around the edge of the box, and done.

My 07 electrical compartment is on the left rear of the coach. I'm going to put 4 high voltage panels on the top & my current plan is to put the combiner box on the left rear corner of the roof & then out the back of the combiner box & down the rear fiberglass cap. I to was thinking about combiner box down thru closet BUT by going down the fiberglass CAP I won't be as worried about water intrusion.

Let us know what you decide.
