My RV is a 22,000# chassis and is 228" wheel span with Koni shocks and a Safe-T-Plus steering aid. My rear over hang is 10' from the center of the rear wheels. It drives very well and is stable. After reading and doing my research, it has been mention to add Trak-Bar or Sway Bar to improve the ride even better. I feel very little resistance when an 18-wheeler passes me going down the hy-way, but you do feel a change. I also notice when I am going around a curve or turning at 30-40 MPH, the coach leans to the opposite side. This is all-normal and is expected.
I also read that doing the front or back singly improves the ride, but when the same part is added to the other-end, it even makes a better improvement. I am talking about the same part for front and back, not two different parts for front and back. Of what I understand, the first addition improves the ride about 70% and adding the second device, it only made a 25-30% improvement compared to the first addition. (What I mean, adding the front improvement the first time then adding the rear device or vice or versa.)
I think I know what I want to do, but not to give it away and to get other experts advice; I am looking for suggestions from people who have done this or experience the add-ons.
The questions I have, if I am going to buy my LAST improvement for a better ride/control of the RV,
1. Do I want to buy 2 Trak-Bars to improve the overall ride or buy 2 Sway-Bars?
2. Do I want to buy one Trak-Bar and one Sway-Bar for an improvement of both worlds?
3. And if I buy one of each, which one do I put in front and which one goes in the rear?
Thanks in advance for you suggestions........
