So in Oct. 2015 we had the fan clutch replaced in Prescott Arizona and drove the coach 6000 miles and on Jan 24th 2017 the coach says OVERHEAT on Interstate 5 between Fresno and Bakersfield.
Originally thought we had a fan belt problem but after a 100 mile tow to Bakersfield (bitter experience that will be a big rant later) the repair shop finds that the bolts were not tightened properly when the new fan clutch was installed. Two bolts were sheared off, one was missing and the last one was loose. This caused the fan to drop and jam on the shroud which burned out the clutch and fan. Parts alone over $2200 and labor estimated at $3200. Still being repaired so no final cost yet. Outfit that installed the fan clutch says only a 90 day warranty on labor, they do not return my calls after initial contact.
I believe this will need to go to the lawyers because there is no way we are rolling over on this one. More later as this progresses. Being nice right now assuming they will see the light when they get the pix and letter.

Sorry to read your post. You should contact Frieghtliner. I was in contact with Mr. John Michaels Sr
FCCC Representative
fcccservice@daimler.com

We had a problem and the clutch on the fan was replaced at Freightliner in Gaffney SC free of charge Jan 2016. It took one day to fix, once we got an appointment and the OK from Customer Service Manager.
